An effortlessly sleek floor lamp designed by Mangiarotti for Skipper Pollux in 1988. Three separate black lacquered aluminum elements (the tripod base, central stem and crown) are welded together to create a singular form that emphasizes verticality. At its top a series of thin polished aluminum strips are inserted into the three arms of the crown to create an effective screen for the single halogen bulb; casting light primarily upwards while also allowing diffuse light to emerge through the slats.
