Handmade “Samos G” bowl designed by Enzo Mari in 1973 for Danese Milano. This piece was part of the Mari-authorized reissue by Driade Kosmo in 1997 that changed the material to natural gres (grey unglazed ceramic stoneware) from the original glazed white porcelain. Rolled pieces of gres in varying lengths have been overlaid over one other and then fired at high temperature; creating the bowl’s self-supporting structure and resulting in a unique and individual work of art.
