Cassina

A set of four aniline-dyed ‘Mod. 121’ chairs designed by Afra & Tobia Scarpa for Cassina in 1965. In exceptional original condition, the aniline finish highlights the woodgrain and creates a beautiful sheen and depth of color as it shifts from deep black to dark green in bright light. Finely finished solid Italian Walnut bases join with the molded plywood backs to illustrate the Scarpas’ design concept of pairing the geometry of a cube with the organic form of a petal. Original Cassina paper labels on the underside of each. A particularly beautiful set of a timeless design that offers supreme comfort.
